I'm a writer.

Oh! What do you write?

This is when it gets tough. All of a sudden, I find myself in the position of a twelve-year old who is asked what she wants to become when she grows up. Why just one thing? Why not a lot of things?

So that’s what I do. I write across genres, age groups and formats, and my audience has ranged from CEOs to 2-year-olds who can’t read yet!

Better than that, I am a reader. I believe that it is reading that makes me a better writer, and better at everything I do. I also have this urge to spread the joy of learning something new – so, what I read often serves as inspiration for what I write. 

With the result that my portfolio is peppered with diverse kinds of writing, all running a common thread – that of tackling a complex or niche subject and presenting it in lucid, engaging prose.
